The Arizona Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (AASFAA) is a member of one of six regional associations recognized by the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA).

The regional association is the Western Association of the Student Financial Aid Administrators (WASFAA) which is comprised of the state associations from Arizona, Alaska, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and the Territory of Guam.

Three representatives are elected from the regional association to serve on the Board of Directors which is the executive body of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators. Twelve representatives are then chosen to be representatives-at-large. The council acts in behalf of the 3200 members of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.
